Another weekend another bar! This weekend the six nations started! I love the six nations, after the cold dark January nothing brightens your weekends more than watching rugby every Saturday! England’s incredible win over Ireland was a great start!
We happened upon Sophie’s bar in Soho that had a huge screen projected onto the wall showing the game. It was a fairly classy place to watch the match to be honest but I was not complaining! Table service whilst watching rugby is a wonderful addition!
It is located in an old cinema, with an excellent chandelier in the middle of the room and plenty of house plants to make it feel modern and trendy. It was a cool place, but doesn’t exclude people who don’t ask for a “shaved back and sides”.
The bar is brilliant, the staff are welcoming, friendly and good fun! A good selection of top quality local draft beers. An elegant but not confusing wine list and some excellent bar snacks! The chicken wings were excellent, they had a crispy fried duck vibe about them that was great!
It was an excellent place to enjoy the rugby, enough of an atmosphere that you joined in with the cheering of the tries, a huge screen you could see from anywhere in the bar, and once the match had finished the screen went and it turned into a classy stylish bar.
It’s relatively new so check it out! A wonderful place for a drink!
