Are you intimidated by sourdough? How much better can bread actually be? Is it just bread with some lemon juice? I thought it was just pizza dough? Is it alive?
These are questions you can answer by coming with me on this experiment to create your own living dough pet in your kitchen. Sourdough in the home can make so much difference to your bread, in flavour, texture, structure and smell.
All you need is flour, water a touch of sugar and an airtight container. (that answers the lemon juice question).
Start with me tomorrow in creating your own sourdough, why not make your new years resolution to start making your own bread? Its better for you as it contains less sugar and chemicals. You can make very good low gluten breads that are far better than your supermarket alternatives. And the process of needing dough is perhaps one of the most therapeutic things you can do with your time!
