Type of food: Tapas
On the back streets of Sevilla, away from the bustle of the Jewish quarter, stands a restaurant that encourages you to question if its really a restaurant. On arrival, there are about 10 people standing outside waiting, not in a queue just a bunch, this isn't England. Try and walk through the door and you are stopped.
After putting our name on the list and coming back half an hour later (you cant book) we found it bright and busy, with a warm atmosphere. Another very cool truly newly Spanish restaurant. Once at a table, you are made to feel at home.
La Brunilda produced fresh exciting tapas, due to our low level of Spanish we weren’t entirely sure what we had ordered! We’d already received a tip-off to have the mushroom risotto and it did not disappoint. We had patatas bravas, the steak, braised Pig cheeks (of course, braised pig cheeks are just incredible) and a selection of other dishes. Every single one was full of flavour and smelled amazing, perfectly crafting a sensation combination to make a brilliant meal. It tasted amazing, looked beautiful and all in all the restaurant ensured we had a great evening of eating and company. It was one of the best restaurants we went to in Spain and it was really not pricey, about €40 for 2 people, for 2 courses (including dessert) and beer.
Absolutely nothing to fault, delightful.
